I don't think I have heard of one that was working and then stopped. It is unusual for the headphone hardware to go out. If the headphones have a volume control, set the volume on the source to a high level and use the volume on the headphones to adjust the volume to the desired listening level. NOTE: If your player or audio device has more than one connection jack available, make sure the headphones are not connected to an audio-in or microphone jack. Verify that the headphones are firmly plugged into the headphone jack on the unit.

The sounds from the internal speaker, is still OK. After adding Windows Subsystem for Linux in 'windows features', sound I play while connected to the front audio jack (music / youtube etc) comes out distorted / cuts in and out. windows 10 version 1903 (build 18362.535) Gigabyte ab-350 m/b with realtek audio. I've been using the G751 for some weeks now and had no problems so far. So basically, I can't plug in external speakers or headphones anymore, as the sound will only be heard from the left speaker, with a really heavy amount of distortion that makes it un-hearable. Front audio jacks sound is distorted after installing WSL.
